Joy and Black Eyed Susans

I got the chance to spend some time today with a couple of my best friends and do yet another photoshoot of the lovely Nicole. It's hot and sunny, but we had a wonderful time and actually remembered to bring bug spray.

Also, if anyone cares, I experimented today in using a macro lens for portraits. I've discovered that it's troublesome, and you have to go a million yards away if you want a full-body shot (exaggeration) but the results are a wonderful bokeh-y and warped background with a sharp, crisp subject.
